| Answer to question #15:
Errored Second event is actually an interrupt being triggered in the QUAD Falc device if it detects framing errors, CRC errors, code violations, loss of frame alignment, loss of signal, alarm indication signal, receive and transmit slips. Framing is done in the QUAD Falc. Loss of Multiframe Alignment TS 16
means Multiframe alignment of time slot 16 has been lost if two consecutive
multiframe pattern are not detected or if in 16 consecutive time slot
16 all bits are reset. This would in turn set a register in the QUAD Falc
high which would trigger the Errored second interrupt. In the event of
a loss of signal, errored second interrupts are ignored. In the case of
loss of alignment, after every 5 errored second interrupts generated a
frame resynchronization/recovery is then attempted. These messages are
status indicators on frame alignment. Once the signal stabilizes, you
could proceed with the cas signalling process by selecting the Line and
channel desired. Please note that 2 Handsets are to be connected to the
codecs to establish and demonstrate a through connection.
